Byrd doubles with two outs in the bottom of the seventh

May 3, 2019 (San Diego) - Katie Byrd (Santee, Calif./West Hills HS) drilled a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Katie Parker from second base and give San Diego State a 1-0 victory over Fresno State Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.
It was the sixth walk-off win of the season for the Aztecs (22-24, 9-10 MW), who beat a Bulldog (33-16, 11-8 MW) team that had won 11 of its previous 13 Mountain West games.
Parker and Shelby Thompson had two hits apiece for SDSU.
Marissa Moreno went the distance in the circle for San Diego State, allowing four hits and three walks, while striking out eight to improve to 10-11 on the season.
The Aztecs improved to 12-5 on the season in one-run games.
SDSU looks to claim the series at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
