SDSU CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT UCSD'S TRITON CLASSIC

October 12, 2019 (La Jolla) - Members of the Aztec cross country team competed in UC San Diego’s Triton Classic 6k Saturday morning. Four members competed with freshman Alex Lomeli finishing as the top Aztec.

Lomeli, who was running her first collegiate 6k, paced the Aztecs with a time of 23:33.7, good for 16^th place (out of 75 runners).

Sophomore Naomi Smitham finished in 24:41.6 (38^th place) and was followed by freshman Jessica Kain (24:41.6, 38^th place) and sophomore Isabelle Davis (25:37.3; 55^th place).

Other schools competing included the host school, UC San Diego, Claremont Mudd-Scripps, Point Loma, Cal State San Bernardino, Mesa CC and Cal State San Marcos.
